Reviews

"Never Grow Old is an unforgiving look at human nature. The film is absolutely riveting. John Cusack has his best performance in years."
"Leave it to an Irish writer/director, Ivan Kavanagh, to masterfully take a classic American film genre back to its roots."
Dwight Brown, National Newspaper Publishers Association

"[Cusack] has his best role in years in Dutch Albert, a quintessential bad guy who figures prominently in Ivan Kavanagh's old-fashioned Western Never Grow Old. Wearing the proverbial black hat and speaking his menacing lines in a husky, near-whisper, Cusack thoroughly galvanizes the proceedings. Emile Hirsch also gives a terrific performance as the film's hero, Patrick Tate, an Irish immigrant who has settled in the Oregon territory with his French wife, Audrey (Deborah Francois), and their two young daughters."

Frank Scheck, HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
"Gruesome and brutally unsettling, Never Grow Old is an extraordinary western made with uncompromising brute force and filled with a slow-burn morality that never babysits the kind of superficial innocence that often leads to a happy Hollywood ending. "
Rex Reed, OBSERVER
