Between The Eyes and Automatik Entertainment have just wrapped principal photography on Welcome to the Punch, Eran Creevy's London set thriller starring James Mc Avoy, Mark Strong and Andrea Riseborough. Quickfire helped finance.

Blackthorn is now on VOD release in the US, to be followed by a theatrical run on October 7th.

Retreat will be in cinemas in the UK on the 14th of October, followed by a US release on the 21st of the same month.

James Atherton - Managing Director - began his career in independent film working on titles such as The Pink Panther and The Honorary Consul. He has since advised a number of international banks involved in the film and television business. In the late 1980's he raised in excess of USD $500 million for the production of 25 commercial feature films. More recently he was a principal of Surefire Films, a film production partnership that raised £25 million for the production of four feature films. Under the Surefire banner, he produced: The seminal The Proposition, written and with music by Nick Cave, and directed by John Hillcoat, featuring Guy Pearce, Ray Winstone, Danny Huston, John Hurt and Emily Watson. The film received 24 award nominations, and won among others the Venice Film Festival Gucci prize for best screenplay and was nominated as best film by the AFI. He further produced Best Man, Worst Friend, a romantic comedy by Shooting Fish director Stefan Schwartz, starring Stuart Townsend and Seth Green. He also produced the Maeve Binchy adaptation Tara Road, and children's classic remake Heidi. He has since created and funded the new multi-million acquisition and sales outfit Quickfire Films.

Jan Pace - Head of Production and Sales - has worked in acquisitions and finance for The Works Media Group, a media company involved in international sales and UK distribution. He has been involved in Charisma Films, especially the exploitation of classic British title Sir Henry at Rawlinson End. Most recently, he was involved in the creation and funding of Quickfire Films, a company providing minimum guarantees to feature films with international sales potential.
